Recently, Professor Dr CHEE-FAl, TAN , Academician of ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology and Vice President of Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, led a team to visit Guangxi University of Foreign Languages(GUFL). Professor Song Yafei, Vice President of GUFL, Associate Professor Chen Qiqian, Executive Dean of the School of European and American Languages and Cultures, Zhang Yunzhi, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education/Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office, Associate Professor Zhong Minghui, Deputy dean of the School of Information Engineering, warmly received Professor Dr. CHEE-FAl, TAN  and his delegation, and had a discussion and exchange on the cooperation between the two schools. At the meeting, Vice President Professor Song Yafei presented Dr. CHEE-FAl, TAN  with a certificate of appointment as a visiting professor.

At the symposium, Prof. Song Yafei welcomed Dr. CHEE-FAl, TAN and his delegation and made a brief introduction to the university's achievements, professional Settings, international cooperation and exchanges, and personnel training in recent years. Meanwhile, she said the two universities have a lot in common in educational philosophy and professional Settings. It is hope that the two universities will take this exchange as an opportunity to implement cooperation and jointly promote the internationalization process of education.

Dr. CHEE-FAl, TAN expressed his gratitude to Guangxi University of Foreign Languages for its warm reception, highly praised the university's educational achievements and international characteristics, and introduced the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur ’s educational situation and professional advantages.
 
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the aspects of undergraduate and doctoral education, teaching and research, teacher-student exchange, language training and so on, and reached a willingness to cooperate.

The meeting also held the appointment ceremony of visiting Professor Dr. CHEE-FAl, TAN . Prof. Song Yafei presented the letter of appointment of visiting professor to Academician Dr. CHEE-FAl, TAN .

Academician Dr. CHEE-FAl, TAN said that as a visiting professor of Guangxi University of Foreign Languages, he will do his best to contribute to the cooperation and exchange between the two universities. Subsequently, Academician Dr.CHEE-FAl, TAN gave a special lecture on the development of industrial information industry in ASEAN for our students.
