The year 2024 is the Year of Cultural Exchange between China and ASEAN. On November 16, Yongjiang Forum 2024 Exchange, Cooperation, and Innovation: Internationalization of Higher Education between China-ASEAN was held in Nanning City.

At the opening ceremony, WeiQian (chairlady of Guangxi University of Foreign Languages), Yang Weijia (Guangxi institute of higher education, Deputy Director of the autonomous region department of education), Do Nam Trung (Consul General of Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Nanning), and Chanawongse Krasae (former Minister of University Affairs “Ministry of Education” of Thailand, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, former Cabinet Minister of the Prime Minister's Office of Thailand) gave separate speeches. The forum was hosted by Guangxi Higher Education Association and hosted by GUFL.
