Recently, Professor Allan. H. Barr, a distinguished Sinologist from the Department of Asian Languages and Literatures at Pomona College in California, USA, shared his three decades of translation expertise in a specialized academic lecture titled "The Path of a Literary Ferry: Translating and Disseminating Yu Hua's Works in the United States" at Guangxi University of Foreign Languages. The event, meticulously planned by Dr. Qin Jian, Associate Dean of the School of Humanities, and hosted by Associate Professor Xu Xiangqun, drew a diverse audience including faculty and students from the university, as well as external experts such as Professor Yang Hequan from the School of Literature at Yulin Normal University and Feng Sanshi, Vice President of the Nanning Writers Association.
