Guangxi University of Foreign Languages (GUFL) is located in Nanning City, the permanent site of the China-ASEAN Expo, the central city of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Founded in June 2004, it is the first non-governmental undergraduate university in Guangxi to be upgraded to a regular undergraduate university and the only independent foreign languages-based regular undergraduate university in Guangxi.
The University has 2 campuses, Wuhe Campus and Konggang Campus. Now the University has over 32,000 full-time students (Data as of September 2024) and offers 63 programs (including 4-year or 3-year programs). It offers 11 foreign language programs, which are Cambodian, English, French, Indonesian, Thai, German, Japanese, Laos, Myanmar, Spanish, and Vietnamese. In 2024, the University ranked first in the country in the "Top 300 International Competitiveness Rankings of China Private Universities" published by Jingling New International Entrepreneurial Era Network.
