Guangxi University of Foreign Languages (GUFL), formerly known as Guangxi Dongfang Foreign Language College, was founded in June 2004. Approved by China's Ministry of Education, it was upgraded in April 2011 to offer bachelor's programs. In 2018, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation by the Ministry of Education. In 2021, the project was approved to build a new Master's degree granting unit.
The University has 2 campuses, Wuhe Campus and Konggang Campus. Now the University has over 33, 000 full-time students and teaching buildings of about 1666,667 square meters. GUFL comprises 16 schools, such as School of South-East Asian Languages & Cultures, School of European-American Languages & Cultures, School of Literature, School of International Economics & Trade, School of Business & Public Administration, School of Accounting, School of Arts, School of Education, School of Information Engineering, School of International Education and so on. GUFL offers 60 programs, including undergraduate and vocational programs. It is considered to be the university with the largest number of foreign language majors in Guangxi province as it offers 13 foreign language programs, such as Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Indonesian.
The University's motto, "Chinese-Souled and International-Minded", aims to reflect on the multifaceted cooperation of international exchanges. By cooperating with over 72 international institutions of higher education, recruiting over 1500 international students and sending nearly 5000 domestic students to study abroad , the international influence an recognition of GUFL have gradually increased around the world. According to the 2017 China Best University Rankings-Students Internationalization Rankings (International Students' Ratio) published by SOHU, International Students' Ratio of GUFL was one of the top list universities and ranked first among private universities in Guangxi province. It also ranked first in Top 300 International Competitiveness of National Private Universities published by KingLead.
With sustainable development, GUFL has paid more attention to international exchanges and cooperation, which plays a significant role in building the university into a regional international university.
Recruitment Requirements and Conditions:
1、Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, be in good health without any criminal record.
2、Applicants for teaching foreign languages should have a bachelor's degree or higher degree and at least 2 years of relevant education experiences. Working experience can be exempted for those who meets one of those requirements: those with bachelor's degree or higher degree in education, language or normal education, or those with the teaching qualification certificate of the host country or TEFL certificate.
3、Applicants for professional courses should have a master's degree or higher, and at least 2 years of teaching experiences in relevant professional courses or fields.
4、Age under 58.
Workload and salary:
1. Workload: 18 periods per week.
2. Salary package: The salary of foreign teachers includes monthly salary, airfare allowance, etc. The salary standard shall be determined in accordance with professional ranks and titles, or academic qualifications of foreign teachers.
3. Accommodation: Free apartment with basic furniture and household appliances.
4. Insurance: Commercial insurance for foreign teachers in accordance with law.
5. Holidays: Chinese national holidays, summer and winter holidays of the university
