On May 6th, the third Languages, Culture and Society International Conference (The 3rd LSCIC 2022) was held online at Mahasarakham University, Thailand. Song Junhui, the French teacher of the School of European-American language and Culture and Wu Li, the Thai language teacher of the School of South-East Asian language&Culture attended this conference and delivered speeches.
Teacher Song Junhui's speech was about the combination of online and offline cooperative learning teaching models for basic French courses. The speech took the cooperative learning model as the theoretical basis and "student-center" as the teaching guidance to construct the teaching mode of online and offline cooperative learning among three steps: pre-class, in class and after-class. By arousing students’learning interests and initiatives, teacher Song aims at helping students to consolidate their language learning foundation and improving their French listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
The theme of teacher Wu Li's speech is the Innovation of Thai training course. In her speech, teacher Wu presented the present situation and problems of Thai training courses. Then she analyzed the problems and provided some solutions among teaching objectives, contents and procedures to deal with the situation.
By participating in this academic international conference, teachers of our school learned more about the latest developments in language, social and cultural research, and strengthened their ties with the international academic community. Song Junhui and Wu Li shared their research results at this conference, and discussed teaching skills with other scholars from other countries. That allows them to inspire new ideas in scientific research, and inject new impetus into the next step of scientific research and development of GUFL.
